Brain fog

You run a team, chair the meeting, hold the room. But by 2pm you can’t remember what was said in the first half.

Energy

You’ve started managing your energy the way you used to manage your time. It’s the harder job.

Vitality

You can feel it in your body. Not pain. Not illness. Just everything running at 70% when it used to be automatic.

Sleep

You’re sleeping enough hours. You wake up and it’s like you didn’t.

Recovery

You used to recover overnight. Now it takes the weekend. And the weekend isn’t enough either.

Clarity

The word is on the tip of your tongue six times a day. You used to be sharp. You know the difference.

Everyone said this is just what happens

It doesn’t have to be your life.

Why you feel the way you do

Three systems that govern how you feel.

What you’re feeling doesn’t come from one place. Fatigue, brain fog, hormonal changes, sleep, mood. They sit at the intersection of two or three biological systems, and they affect each other.

Hormonal & Reproductive

Oestrogen receptors are concentrated in the brain regions responsible for memory and executive function. Progesterone regulates sleep architecture and mood. Testosterone supports energy and cognitive clarity in women as well as men. All three decline at different rates, and when they fall out of balance, the effects ripple into your sleep, your metabolism, and your inflammatory load.

Metabolic & Energy

How efficiently your body converts fuel into energy. Insulin sensitivity, thyroid function, and iron status all govern this process. Your brain uses 20% of your total energy supply, so even mild metabolic inefficiency affects clarity and stamina before it shows up anywhere else. Hormonal shifts make it worse: declining oestrogen changes how your body processes glucose, which is why the 2pm crash and perimenopause often arrive together.

Inflammatory & Immune

CRP and other inflammatory markers measure how hard your immune system is working in the background. Chronic low-grade inflammation diverts metabolic resources away from energy production, cognitive function, and tissue repair. Poor sleep drives inflammation up. Hormonal decline does the same. When all three systems are involved, everything feels harder but nothing is clinically wrong.

0%

60% of midlife women experience cognitive difficulties, but most never raise them.

Maki PM & Jaff NG, Climacteric, 2022; SWAN cohort, n=3,302

0%

73% of supplements are taken without blood work to guide them. If you’ve tried magnesium, iron, or B vitamins and nothing changed, that’s probably why.

Liu L et al., Nutrients, 2024; NHANES 2011-2018

0%

85% of Australian women with menopausal symptoms aren’t receiving effective treatment. Not because it doesn’t exist.

Real patients

The experience, in their words..

I wasn't in crisis or anything. I just didn't feel like myself and hadn't for a while. My GP ran the standard tests and said everything was within range. VitalYOU's approach is different because they're not checking whether you're sick, they're checking whether your biology is actually performing. That distinction matters if you're someone who knows something is off but can't get anyone to take it seriously.

I went to my GP twice about how I was feeling and both times the bloods came back 'normal'. So I just left it. What else do you do when the tests say you're fine? VitalYOU tests against a different set of ranges, which changes the conversation completely. The report I got back was the most detailed health document I've ever received.

I sat on the website for about three weeks before booking. $1,295 is not a small amount of money. But then I added up what I'd already spent on random supplements, wellness apps, and a naturopath visit over the past year and it was honestly more than that, with no actual data behind any of it. At least this was a doctor looking at real bloodwork. The report alone justified the cost for me.

Lisa

39, Business Owner

My wife actually booked this for me. I'd been saying I would sort it out for about a year and never got around to it. The consultation itself was very thorough. The doctor had clearly reviewed everything before we got on the call, which was a nice change from the usual 'so what brings you in today?' experience. Would recommend, and I don't say that lightly about health services.

Tom

47, Operations Manager

I'll be upfront. I went into this consultation thinking I already knew what I needed. I'd done my own research and had a pretty clear idea of what to ask for. About fifteen minutes in, the doctor started connecting things I hadn't considered, and I realised I was completely out of my depth. In a good way. I ended up with a very different plan to what I had in mind, and far more confident in it. If you're someone who likes to be across everything (like me), you'll appreciate how thorough this is.

Daniel

51, Executive Coach

I was spending close to $400 a month on various supplements and protocols before this. The doctor reviewed my results and told me to stop most of it. Didn't try to replace them with their own products either, just said I didn't need them. That was when I knew the advice was actually for me and not a sales pitch. Worth the consultation fee just for what I'm no longer wasting money on.

Ryan

32, Software Developer

I'd seen a cardiologist and an endocrinologist separately over the past two years. Both said everything was fine. Nobody was looking at how it all connected. VitalYOU was the first service that actually pulled everything together across multiple systems rather than checking one thing at a time. The consultation felt like the appointment I'd been trying to get from the regular system for two years.

James

46, Lawyer

Honestly, I'd just accepted that this is what mid-fifties feels like. All my mates say the same things, so you assume it's normal. The level of detail in the results was eye-opening. I had no idea you could test for that many markers from a single blood draw. The doctor was excellent and clearly very knowledgeable. Wish I'd done it a couple of years earlier but glad I did it now.

What does the service include?

+

An 80+ biomarker blood panel (over $650 in clinical pathology), biological age testing, a 40-minute doctor consultation where your results have been fully reviewed in advance, and a clinical plan shaped by your results.

How much does a consultation cost?

+

$1,295. Includes pathology, a clinical report, and an extended doctor consultation via telehealth. No hidden fees.

Is this covered by Medicare or private health insurance?

+

No. VitalYOU is an optimisation service. All consultations and treatments are private-pay.

Do I need a referral?

+

No. VitalYOU is direct-access.

What if my GP already told me everything is normal?

+

That’s common, and it doesn’t mean your GP got it wrong. A standard blood test checks whether you’re within the reference range for a handful of markers. It’s designed to detect disease. VitalYOU measures 80+ biomarkers against ranges designed to assess how well your biology is actually performing. You can be “normal” on one and still have something worth investigating on the other.

Do you look at hormonal health?

+

Yes. Hormonal health is one of six biological systems we assess. Your panel includes oestrogen, progesterone, testosterone, DHEA-S, and other hormonal markers, reviewed alongside your metabolic, inflammatory, sleep, gut, and brain chemistry results. If your results indicate a hormonal issue, your doctor discusses the full range of clinical options available to you.

What happens if my results point to perimenopause or menopause?

+

Your doctor reviews your full hormonal profile alongside your other systems before your consultation. If your results suggest perimenopause or menopause is contributing to what you’re experiencing, your doctor discusses what that means and what your options are. Where treatment is clinically appropriate, your doctor can prescribe as part of your plan.

How long before I notice a difference?

+

It depends on what your results show. Some changes, like correcting an iron or vitamin D deficiency, can produce a noticeable difference within weeks. Others take longer. Your doctor gives you a realistic timeline during your consultation based on your specific results, not a generic promise.

What if I’ve already tried supplements and nothing worked?

+

Most supplement programs are built on guesswork. General advice applied without knowing what your body actually needs. If you’ve tried magnesium, iron, B vitamins, or adaptogens and nothing changed, it’s likely not that supplements don’t work. It’s that you didn’t know which ones you needed first.

Does VitalYOU replace my GP?

+

No. Your GP manages disease, acute care, and general health. VitalYOU investigates the biological systems that drive how you feel and perform day to day.

I already track my health. What does this tell me that my wearable doesn’t?

+

A wearable shows you patterns on the surface. Heart rate, sleep stages, HRV. A blood panel shows you what’s driving those patterns. Why your deep sleep is dropping, why your recovery is slowing, why your HRV is trending down. Your tracker shows you the what. Your results show you the why.
